Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the world’s fastest growing recreational activities and with our multiple waterways, perfect for our region. The scenic possibilities are fantastic. One local favorite is a sunset paddle along Priest Lake on a beautiful day.  Simple to learn and fun, you stand at your full height, enjoying excellent views of everything from water creatures to what's on the horizon. It's almost like walking on water!

The boards are relatively light to tote, weighing between 25-35 pounds. You can just tuck it under your arm for transport and it’s easier to get into the water than a kayak. Stand up paddleboarding offers an amazing full body workout and is becoming a favorite cross-training activity for skiers, snowboarders and other athletes, as well as a popular crossover sport for many North Idaho kayak enthusiasts.

The Bird Aviation Museum and Invention Center
The Bird Aviation Museum and Invention Center is located in Sagle, Idaho. The museum is about 12 miles off Highway 95 east on Sagle Road, and is a destination in itself. It features Dr. Forrest Bird’s personal collection of aircraft and as well as various invention displays and flight exhibits. It has been open since 2007
Dr. Forrest Bird is the inventor of the modern respirator, and he was awarded the Presidential Citizens Medal in 2008 honoring the many ways in which he has served his country, including as a pilot during World War II. If you stop by Bird’s museum, make sure you leave enough time to see all the planes and displays – you don’t want to be in a hurry here.
