Wardner Peak Ride
Saturday, July 20, 2019, 09:00am - 05:00pm
Contact Randy Griffin (509) 999-3642

Ride open to all ATVs and UTVs including over 50".

The ride will begin and end at the Pine Creek Tavern south of Pinehurst, ID.

Riders will meet at the tavern at 9:00 AM. From I-90, take the Pinehurst exit (#45). Travel south through town to mile marker 4. The tavern is the blue building on your right.

The tavern owner has agreed to allow dry camping behind the tavern. It's a nice level grassy area with a number of good camping spots, and easy access to the restaurant and tavern. If you're not dry camping overnight, there are a number of good spots on the tavern property to park and unload ATVs. Please do not park in the spots next to the building. Also, there are good parking/unloading areas along the roadway.

The ride will begin on E. Pine Creek Rd., then up Lynch Gulch on an active logging road which winds through both private and BLM lands. We'll travel on roads and trails, until eventually reaching the top of Wardner Peak (elevation 6,181 ft), where we'll eat lunch and enjoy looong views. After lunch we'll loop back down Denver Creek to E. Pine Creek Rd., and travel a few miles on pavement back to the tavern. We should arrive at the tavern early enough so those who wish, will have time to go in for a burger and cold drink (It'll probably be a hot day). The tavern owner would appreciate our business, and she thinks there'll be about 20 of us or so.

The ride leader will be Randy Griffin, so you know the ride pace will be leisurely. Total mileage is about 35-40 miles. It's all about the views and the visiting.  Randy plans to dry camp at the tavern on Friday, and maybe Saturday after the ride.
