Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the world’s fastest growing recreational activities and with our multiple waterways, perfect for our region. The scenic possibilities are fantastic. One local favorite is a sunset paddle along Priest Lake on a beautiful day.  Simple to learn and fun, you stand at your full height, enjoying excellent views of everything from water creatures to what's on the horizon. It's almost like walking on water!

The boards are relatively light to tote, weighing between 25-35 pounds. You can just tuck it under your arm for transport and it’s easier to get into the water than a kayak. Stand up paddleboarding offers an amazing full body workout and is becoming a favorite cross-training activity for skiers, snowboarders and other athletes, as well as a popular crossover sport for many North Idaho kayak enthusiasts.
