KNWR Bird Walk. The Friends of Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge, an all-volunteer organization, host a Bird Walk starting at 9 a.m. in the Refuge Education Barn, 287 Westside Rd, Bonners Ferry. Bring binoculars and/or a scope and a field guide if you have them. It may be warm; water and sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen) are a good idea. Wear hiking shoes and come dressed for the weather. Expect to be out about 2 hours. Everyone, regardless of birding expertise, is welcome. Youth under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
