The World Property Channel has placed Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint in the top five of great mountain towns where the people are friendly, the atmosphere is authentic and the outdoor recreational opportunities are almost limitless.

The list includes Winter Park, Colorado and Taos New Mexico. However, Sandpoint placed number four with it's proximity to Schweitzer and Lake Pend Oreille as two of the reasons that make the town great. The article also talks about Sandpoint’s quaint Main Street and the “148 miles of fishing, kayaking and boating among little coves and inlets.”

Coeur d’Alene claimed 1st place, with Winston covering everything from the brick storefronts, to the “stunning views”. What makes Coeur d’Alene the best mountain in North America? We all know that the area is beautiful, but for World Property Channel, Coeur d’Alene has it all, it sits on an ice-blue alpine lake with 125 miles of shoreline, from which rise 7,000-foot mountains covered in deep-green forest, a thriving downtown area, nearby activities like the Route of the Hiawatha, a luxurious resort, and a world class golf course with the only movable floating green in the world.
