North Idaho’s cultural scene is an interwoven tapestry of delights as colorful and North Idaho distinctive as our natural landscape. Many of our local festivals highlight great local artists, some with worldwide acclaim. Neighbors and national stars grace our stages beneath our clear star-filled skies. Local art galleries, like Frame of Mind, may introduce you to a new artist or help you frame you own piece of work.

Stroll Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint during art and music walks. Pend Oreille Arts Council’s Sunday concerts on the lawn are down to earth and uplifting at the same time. Sandpoint’s Panida Theatre keep the house lights up for those looking for something a little more staged. The Coeur d’Alene Symphony has been playing the classics (and more recently dabbling in popular music) for over three decades, all the while promoting the growth of young musicians through their annual Young Artists Competition.
